To make a significant change to the appearance of our home, it is not always necessary to spend a lot of money on things that we can easily get at a bazaar. On the contrary, with simple objects we can achieve a dream-like end result. This can also happen with plastic buckets.
With just two plastic buckets you can make a splendid table for your living room. In addition, it has a space inside that is ideal for storing different types of objects, such as blankets or cushions, for example.
The materials needed to replicate this recycling project are as follows:
- 2 large black plastic buckets (you can also use 2 large identical plant pots)
- Glue gun
- White acrylic paint
- Black acrylic paint
- A white wooden board
- Screws
- Paintbrush
- Tools for cutting and sanding wood
- Varnish
How to create this charming little table for your living room:
The first step in this project is to glue the bases of the plastic buckets or flowerpots opposite each other, using a glue gun and reinforcing them with screws. Then, with a brush and white paint, you can splash both containers to achieve a decorative effect once finished.
Then, with the necessary tools, you have to cut a circle on the wooden board with a diameter just a little longer than the plastic bucket. Sand the edges and then paint all the wood with the white paint.
Once ready, I added the “splattered” effect on the white wooden board with a brush, but with black paint. To finish, I protected everything with a layer of varnish. Place the lid on top, store whatever you want inside your coffee table created with plastic buckets, and it will be finished.
